We have ONE final Tampa show for the year on November 23rd and it is fucking stacked. Swarm Fest is 3 days of underground death & black metal, featuring all of Florida's best underground. 

GIGAN is the final band to be added to Saturday to make it an even more insane evening. You NEED to get advance tickets, this is going to be more full a show than any other show that happens. Space WILL be limited.

As many of you know, Vacuous Depths hails it’s most important influences from the Finland. The Finnish scene was and is a special and truly gnarly underground that never got its due till recently. Originally, the infamous "Forget Sweden" promo advertisement by the Finnish death metal band, DEMILICH, was there to let fans of the underground know that Sweden WASN’T the ONLY scene out there making sick shit! It has always remained a special statement to us, so we made our own about OUR very special scene in Florida.

Aural Hell and Moral Anguish

Thank you to all the support we experienced in Miami this past Saturday. Once again, we are HONORED to be able to play with one of the nastiest, meanest, most extreme bands in the underground, Hellwitch. It was incredible to say the least. We also got to welcome Emilio to the stage for the first time and played with our completed 4-piece lineup. Thank you to Blood Horse Inc for bringing us down and to Virulence for being buds. Four Way Dissection - Vacuous Depths, Now a 4 Piece

We have spent the last few months discussing Vacuous Depths’ direction. We’ve talked about our release goals, our sonic direction with newest drummer Gabriel Gozainy, and most notably, CHANGES to the band. After some serious planning behind the scenes, and with a huge amount of enthusiasm, we are excited to add Emilio Moreira as our lead guitarist. From day one, Emilio has been a long time friend of Vacuous Depths. Emilio will be playing his first show with us in Miami with Hellwitch on January 6th, 2024. For those that have seen us play live, this is going to be a whole new level of unrelenting punishment.

Since 2017, Vacuous Depths has always been a three piece group. Now, we can’t wait to share the songs that will follow up 2023’s Corporal Humiliation with additional elements of Emilio’s writing style. Emilio and Austin Thomas play differently, but have similar writing styles and share sonic goals. The band’s new material is already darker, more layered, with an immense amount of influence from both Emilio and Austin. 2024 is going to be a punishing year for Vacuous Depths. Please, help us welcome Emilio to the band.

Gruesome Tales of Death and Cremation

Orlando has become our biggest supporting scene in Florida. This was a great night and we saw a huge amount of support from you, the underground. Playing with our friends, Druid Lord is ALWAYS great! As individuals, they are truly some of the best dudes and their music is outstanding amongst the sea of shit that attempt doom. To top off the night, being fans from the beginning, sharing the stage with Father Befouled is nothing less than an honor. Thank you so much! Pictures from that night are below. 

We will be taking the rest of the year to devote ourselves to writing and developing our set. Gabriel, our newest member and drummer, has only been learning our recorded music so far and we are looking forward to writing the new release with him. We have about 3 or 4 songs so far to go towards a new release and there's so much work to do to get more written. We will also be working on our live set and adding some cover songs to it to bring you the meanest in the underground. 

2024 is already looking to be an absolutely BRUTAL start with a new show announcement coming in a  couple days. We look forward to coming back with unrelenting vengeance...

VACUOUS DEPTHS has been asked to be a part of their unreal magazine and compilation cassette featuring one of our songs. The magazine’s full bleed, pro-printed glossy paper editions are literally filled with art from some of the best new and old artists around the world. 

    

NR cultivates a collection of bands for each issue and releases a cassette tape of all of those bands featured in that issue. Double Hockey Sticks Radio Show

We are incredibly honored to have our song, “Cycle of Control”, included in one of the BEST underground radio shows going, DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS RADIO SHOW.
