This news update is one that is bittersweet. At the end of 2025 Vacuous Depths had to say goodbye to Emilio, the second guitarist we added that same year. He was dealing with a ton of challenging personal issues and after some long talks we decided it was best to move on without him. As it goes with music and the wild world it is, priorities in peoples lives take precedence in different ways and bands are typically at the end of that line. This was not Emilio's path and we appreciate his efforts in the band while he was in. Arturo, Gabe, and Austin send our biggest support to him.
As I always say- "Never deny the prophecy..." It was always the goal from the beginning to be powerful and intimidating 3 piece band and I'm going to take it as a sign that it will remain that way going forward. We will NEVER let you down and continue to write to our best ability, release quality shit, and always stay the most violent death metal band we can be.
We have 2 shows coming up and we will be performing some new songs at them. The first show is in Orlando, May 9th with SATURNINE, VON NACHT, and SACRILOUS. Mostly a black metal show, this will be our first gig of the year and we are looking forward to that.
The following weekend in Ocala, on May 16th, we have brought a bunch of friends together to curate some of Florida's meanest metal. EJECUTADOR from Miami, GRAVE FILTH from Gainesville, and some Tampa friends in CHASMAL MIRE will be coming to MUTINY BAR to level the place. It's going to be an underground atom bomb and we love playing MUTINY BAR as it's all floor show and a small room.
