Loss & Endless Death Endures

This news update is one that is bittersweet. At the end of 2025 Vacuous Depths had to say goodbye to Emilio, the second guitarist we added that same year. He was dealing with a ton of challenging personal issues and after some long talks we decided it was best to move on without him. As it goes with music and the wild world it is, priorities in peoples lives take precedence in different ways and bands are typically at the end of that line. This was not Emilio's path and we appreciate his efforts in the band while he was in. Arturo, Gabe, and Austin send our biggest support to him.

As I always say- "Never deny the prophecy..." It was always the goal from the beginning to be powerful and intimidating 3 piece band and I'm going to take it as a sign that it will remain that way going forward. We will NEVER let you down and continue to write to our best ability, release quality shit, and always stay the most violent death metal band we can be. 

We have 2 shows coming up and we will be performing some new songs at them. The first show is in Orlando, May 9th with SATURNINE, VON NACHT, and SACRILOUS. Mostly a black metal show, this will be our first gig of the year and we are looking forward to that.

The following weekend in Ocala, on May 16th, we have brought a bunch of friends together to curate some of Florida's meanest metal. EJECUTADOR from Miami, GRAVE FILTH from Gainesville, and some Tampa friends in CHASMAL MIRE will be coming to MUTINY BAR to level the place. It's going to be an underground atom bomb and we love playing MUTINY BAR as it's all floor show and a small room.

Our first ever long sleeve shirts have been sent out to press and are up for pre-order now! As ALWAYS, we want to try to keep prices as close to zero as we can for our fans and supporters! We will be keeping prices low for the at a domestic shipped for under $30 bucks. 

The "DOMINATION" long sleeves, illustrated by our logo designer, Daniel Hermosilla, ship 3/28/26 (or sooner if they arrive to our HQ). They will be pressed on M&O long sleeve garments and have been described as "much better than Gildan fits and feel".

Hell Awaits

The entire show was dedicated to 1980's death metal only. Mike's knowledge is unreal of these things and we shared our love of those days and our favorite demos and bands from the period. There was a very special guest that night... the legendary, the epitome of death, the model for which we all do this...CHRIS FUCKIN' REIFERT! He called into the show and we chatted about the earliest DEATH days and obviously AUTOPSY. It was really cool and it speaks volumes to his character. Please go give it a watch.

Happy New Year Everyone

Two Thousand & Twenty Five Corpses

If you missed the last show in Tampa, FL with CARDIAC ARREST here is a video of "Gold Crosses", but here is the kicker...Austin, our guitar player and vocalist, is on DRUMS instead of guitar. It's a bit of a long story, but we will get to that in time. Till then, enjoy the footage.

Live shows are slow this year, and that is OK by us. We are taking a step back from the stage and concentrating fully on writing at this point and we are very excited about that. The opportunities that are being thrown our way haven't been what we've been wanting, so were trying to make the best of that by creating more music instead. 

In the time we haven't been playing live, we have been writing and developing new songs towards our goal of a brand new full length record for next year (2026). One of the our new songs we've been playing live called "SANGUINE PATHS". You can listen to the live version of it here (shhhh). We will be featuring a couple more of those new songs into our live sets moving forward and look forward to crushing your brains with them. 

In merchandise news, we have talked with Blood Harvest Records about restocking our tapes and color vinyl for you maniacs as we get a LOT of questions about these things. There are in store and shipping now! Buy HERE!

This past weekend's show in Ocala, FL was really sick. Thank you to Ed for having come out there as well as KILLING ADDICTION for making sure we got together for a hometown gig. Something that I noticed while we were walking around the venue was the amount of photographers in the room. Luckily, one of them was taking pro pictures of us. This is the first time in 8ish years we've been a band we have something more than a few phone-photos.Thank you, OKO Photography. These came out awesome.

This is going to be a real treat, and it is CA's first time ever playing Tampa, FL.

Another year of sick shows is behind us, and we are heading towards an exciting new year of shows in 2025. The new year brings our first venture into out-of-state shows as a band, and we are looking forward to seeing some places in the new year. We are currently working on new merchandise. We started working with our illustrator, Daniel Hermosilla, on an updated logo and art for a long sleeve design.   

Swarm Fest, as always, was FILLED with incredible Florida bands. It was an honor to share the stage again with of our friends in HIBERNIS MORTIS as well as DRUID LORD. We also got to meet in person with the hosts of the TAMPA METAL MORGUE PODCAST, Ed and Tony. Hands down, some of the best underground death in Florida, so it goes without saying thank you to Nick for asking us to play. Below are a few pictures from our set. 

The Darkest Night of Death & Punishment

On Saturday, September 28th 2024, VACUOUS DEPTHS will be joining SKELETAL REMAINS, BEWITCHER, PHOBOPHILIC, and TORTURE RACK in the utter devastation of CONDUIT in Winter Park, FL. I cannot speak higher of these underground acts, and to be a part of this caliber of show is an honor. Mark your calendars, tell some longhairs, but do NOT miss this. A huge thank you to the fans that came out to the CEMETERY FILTH show this past weekend. We have a whole hell of a lot of pictures and a few songs that were caught on video to show you. The set went well and we got to see a ton of friends that came out.

On July 20th, 2024 Atlanta, Georgia’s underground gem, CEMETERY FILTH will be playing Tampa, Florida’s Brass Mug in support of their brand new EP “Senses of Detriment”.  

The killer artwork for the record is below and out on ROTTED LIFE RECORDS. A big congratulations on the release and the signing.  

VACUOUS DEPTHS and our friends in VIRULENCE and RAMTHA will be making up the local support. A newer, killer south Florida death metal band will also be joining the show, CEMETERY SHADE. 

Deep Dive Into Floridian Death w/ Death Metal Podcast / Necroharmonic Records

On Friday, March 29th, the Death Metal Podcast, hosted by Roy Fox of Necroharmonic Records, invited Austin on to talk about some really deep dive death metal from our beloved home state, Florida.

News & Other Misfortunes

In the past few months, Emilio and Austin have been working through new material ideas and riffs, collaborating almost weekly, to write and forge a path towards our new release. This past weekend we practiced and finished up the writing process of our first new song as a four piece, entitled “Sanguine Paths”. It is a great start to a more composed, even heavier, much louder, and multi-dimensional sound we now have with a second guitar player. We also have a few songs in their skeletal forms that we will be finishing at practice with Arturo and Gabe over the next couple months. We are writing to release a record in 2025 if the material is there, but a full length is the goal as of now.
